He loves it when a plan comes together.
Vince Robak is a Zabrak who was born on the colony of Dathomir. At a very young age his family took passage to their home planet of Iridonia during the Clone Wars in order to escape the pursuit of General Grievous. While on Iridonia, Vince was picked on a lot by the “true” and, albeit, more war-like Zabrak younglings. From the perspective of the Zabrak society as a whole, this kind of conflict was viewed as a good thing. It was believed by their culture that this would eventually strengthen the species, but for Vince, who grew up having nightmares of Rancors attacking his village, grew up with a lot of psychological issues.
When Robak went off planet to study at the University of Alderaan, he secretly started having therapeutic sessions with a therapist who specialized in Zabrak psychology. During one of his sessions he realized that he would have to prove himself on the battlefield. He relates to all the systems that are being oppressed on a personal level. Continuing his education at the university, he switched his focus to tactical warfare studies and quickly grabbed the attention of the Rebel Alliance. They kept a watchful eye on him till he graduated and then recruited him.
He started as an officer but quickly jumped in rank as he completed missions with vicious tenacity. After just two years in the service of the Rebels, he has been promoted to Commander where he will face possibly his greatest trial… allies. Since finding his “purpose” in life, he has become very strict and sees vacation and lounging as lazy and doesn’t understand yet that how to handle his troops (let alone himself). He at times can be very harsh on his men, but with guidance of his Lieutenant Commander, Nik, he is learning there is more to war than just fighting…
